S7 airlines directions. S7 Airlines

I don’t know why, but I’ll tell you about an incident that happened to me a little less than a year ago.

It's no secret that the company mentioned in the title of the post often contracts other air carriers in its place. That is, you buy an S7 ticket - and in the end you fly and think, well, it turns out what other airlines exist in the world, but you wouldn’t have known otherwise. This is how I got on the Globus flight from Moscow to Simferopol.

The flight to Simferopol from Mother See is about two or three hours. A little over an hour after launch, the ship’s commander announced: for “technical reasons” we are returning to Domodedovo. The Domodedovo take-off appeared under the wing within about twenty minutes. The commander, a good psychologist, tried to delay reports of unpleasant news. Then the fun began...

Remembering the “technical reasons” unknown to me, I, to be honest, was worried and counted the seconds until I touched the concrete. At the moment when there was no more than a meter left to the ground, the turbines roared in takeoff mode - and our “Phantom” again quickly went into the sky.

There was a new introduction from the commander: “The left tire has burst. The situation is abnormal, but the design of the aircraft includes the possibility of landing in this case as well. We will need to use up fuel to lighten the side and reduce the load on the landing gear.” The young man sitting behind me, with fire in his eyes and knowledge of the matter, told his companion about why planes fly and how the exhausted fuel will help us land successfully. But for some reason I guessed that the captain was cold-bloodedly disingenuous. They usually burn out fuel before an emergency landing so that in the event of an explosion, not the entire airport will be blown to hell, but only the plane itself. Just in case, I strengthened my spirit with the Lord’s Prayer...

The time had come to plant our pepelats, and everything was ready in Domodedovo. Firefighters and ambulance. When we were rushing along the concrete, it was shaking so much that we thought that this piece of iron was going to fucking fall apart. I read the “Our Father” again. The plane slowed down and entered the taxiway. A car pulled up with gloomy guys in the uniform of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. We were released outside. The left landing gear was bent so much that it became clear that this side would not fly anywhere for a long time.

My greatest fear was the democratic press. All my relatives and friends knew where I was flying that day. If they announce on radio-TV-Internet that the Moscow-Simferopol flight made an emergency landing, what will, say, my old mother think? But nothing was reported anywhere... Google on request " emergency landing Globus Domodedovo is still silent. And on Wikipedia, where on the page of each airline there is a list of flight accidents, there is not a word about the incident. It’s okay, dear passengers, feel free to fly S7 flights!

A few months later, Montenegro was waiting for me. S7 offered a flight with convenient dates, inexpensive tickets, one transfer along the way... Having already reached the last step of the online order form, when all that was left to do was click the big “Pay money” button, in the flight details I saw a note in small font: “The flight is in progress by Ghana Airways." I read about that glorious airline and, out of harm’s way, flew with the Serbs JAT Airways. Of course, there were some jokes there. But not so extreme.

S7 Airlines has updated the S7 Priority bonus program and now it has four additional statuses for those who fly rarely and cannot accumulate miles or segments even for “silver”. Junior, Master, Expert and Top are new varieties of the basic level, for which they now offer additional privileges. Previously, there were no additional “goodies” with the basic level, but now there are.

New statuses are awarded for flight segments. Just 4 segments (one round trip flight with a transfer) gives Junior status, which earns 10% more miles. It's a small thing, but nice.

For 8 segments they give Master status: this is +15% miles and free seat selection - let us remind you that this service is usually paid for in the S7 on the basic baggage-free fare and costs 349 rubles. You cannot choose seats at emergency exits; this remains the privilege of “silver” passengers.

12 segments - and you are already an Expert. This is not only a free choice of seat, but also plus one piece of baggage to the norm - that is, the baggage-free fare becomes a baggage fare.

For 16 segments you will receive Top status, which, in addition to the previous bonuses, offers a 33% discount on the purchase of mileage tickets.

And for 20 segments they already give “silver”. It is important to keep in mind that the privileges are only valid on S7’s own flights; for the rest of the Oneworld alliance, you will still be a nobody, in the sense of a basic member. Additionally, statuses are only valid until the end of the calendar year in which they were earned (while elite statuses are valid until the end of the following year). That is, it turns out that a rarely flying passenger, after gaining a certain status, will not have many flights left before he turns into a pumpkin. However, you must admit, this is better than just having a basic status: this makes it meaningful to fly on flight S7, all other things being equal - usually a rare passenger chooses what is cheaper.

“The new conditions will allow passengers to receive additional privileges, starting from the fourth flight with S7 Airlines. This will make the program attractive to most passengers. Until now, only 2% of program participants who fly more than 20 times a year could use privileges, the remaining 98% could only save and use miles. We understand that not all of our passengers can fly so often. However, we are grateful for the loyalty of S7 Airlines and are pleased to offer new privileges to make the travel of our members even more comfortable,” noted S7 Group Loyalty Program Development Director Natalya Nikolaeva.

The map does not change when receiving new statuses, it remains basic
