It is located, as you may have guessed, in Switzerland, among the Alpine peaks, on the shores of the lake of the same name.

How to get to Gruyères: from Lausanne by train with a change (in Romon) to go 1.5 - 2 hours. By electric trains (Lausanne, metro line 4), with two transfers (Palesieux, Bulle), it takes 2.5 hours to go - they go every hour.
Where to stay: in the city center, in an inexpensive guest house "Rooms" with a stunning view of the mountains. By the way, guests here get a 10% discount at a local restaurant where they cook delicious food.
9. Valldemosa - a town on the island of Mallorca, Spain

Hallstatt is a beautiful city in Austria The charming chalets of this European city are approaching the very bank of the river of the same name. The color of the waters is surprisingly blue, echoing the blue-green mountains that rise above Hallstatt, protecting and cherishing it. Only a thousand people live in the town, and I must say, they are surprisingly lucky!

Smogen
On the Swedish west coast, the small town of Smogen is a popular coastal destination with scenic views. When visiting the city of Smogen by car, you will pass over a beautiful bridge with a panoramic view of the bay below. Once you reach Smogen, head straight for the harbor. Right by the water lined small buildings, painted in bright colors. Some of the houses are perched on the very top of the cliffs throughout this charming and quaint Swedish village. 
bilbury
In central England lies the popular Cotswold region, with rolling landscapes, wide fields and forests. In the center of the Cotswolds there is a small village called Bilbury where time seems to have stopped. The most iconic attraction in Bildbury is the Arlington Row line of thatched cottages. This architectural style is still popular with local homeowners. The famous American entrepreneur Henry Ford called Bildbury and its townhouses the best part of England, and you will certainly agree with his assessment. 
Giethoorn
The city of Giethoorn is one of the oldest in the Netherlands. Its history dates back to the 13th century when the first canals for irrigation and agriculture were built. Slovenia may not be the first European country you think of when planning your trip. However, in terms of natural beauty, it is one of the most underrated destinations in Europe with some of the most remarkable scenery on the continent.
